I was going to check the brake fluid level and while removing the cap noticed the seal was gone and something broke off where it has a plug on cap. I have taped it but need to know if it is safe to drive while the plug is broke and cap is not on tight.

Hello, I am Danny,

I would definitely get it fixed soon. It should be okay to drive temporarily. I believe the plug that broke off is the Low Brake Fluid Level Sensor. When the level is low the red brake light would come on and illuminate on the dash. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2Carpros.
