Hi,
If the light is on again, I would suggest starting by inspecting the wiring to and from it. Since it stayed off for some time, it sounds like moving the wiring around to replace the sensor may have caused a connection to be made.

Now, don't laugh at me, but did you check the fluid to confirm it's not low due to a leak?
Also, I would recommend having the computer scanned for diagnostic trouble codes. The vehicle has an OBD 2 system. It should indicate codes that are present related to the sensor.
