I opened the hood of my car yesterday because my brakes basically went completely out on my way home. my brake light came on so I looked at my fluid I was out. I continued to look and noticed it was leaking not out of the master cylinder, but something against the fire wall below it. I still have not brakes.

you may have a broken line more than likely. have a mechanic check it out it is old enough that it has rusted through.
