Car still stops fine and have barely lost any fluid, but I've noticed a leak. I have a picture and I'm guessing it's time for a new master cylinder just looking to get another opinion about it first. Also noticed some fluid on top of the reservoir but none on the outside of the master cylinder.

Hello,

It appears to be sipping out. With any leaks if it gets left alone it will become worse overtime. Since it is a brake system leak, it can surely impact on safety. If a seal were to completely blow in the master cylinder, it will be difficult to stop the vehicle.

I have attached the master cylinder replacement procedure below. Also included the brake bleeding procedure.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
