Brake fade

I replaced both rear wheel bearings, all four rotors. All four pads, shocks and struts. Pedal was fine before I did this but now is spongy and goes to the floor. What gives? Brake fluid is full.

Make sure that the pads are sitting flush in the calipers and nothing is loose. did you open the hydraulic system at all? if you did you may have air trapped in the system.

Just the cap to squeeze the front calipers in to make room fir new pads.

okay, so will not be air in the system. just ensure that all the pads are fitted correctly as if they are cocked they can give you a soft pedal.

Could the master cylinder go bad for some reason without leaking?

It could fail internally and not leak but usually that does not give you a spongy pedal it will give you one that slowly sinks to the floor.

When you did all the work were the caliper slide pins good? One that hangs up can give you a spongy pedal because it causes the caliper and pads to flex instead of grab the rotor.
