Brake controller installation?

Hi,

Okay, I attached the wiring schematics below for both model years. The first two pics are for the 2022 and the last two are for the 2020.

From what I'm seeing, the wire you are looking for is now blue/yellow. However, I didn't see that indicated in your color list.

Take a look at these and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks Joe. Unfortunately, I don’t have a yellow/blue wire where I tied into it. So, I tied into it after the connector that is on the brake pedal plunger. I suppose that it is possible that the wire was blue/yellow on the female end of that connector. However, I am tied into the male end of the connector and the wires there are white, black, green, yellow, and blue with a red stripe.

I connected the yellow wire with my red wire from the brake controller. I think that I should be able to test that red wire for power (it’s actually possible to reach) when I push down on the brake pedal. If it only has power when the pedal is depressed, then I believe that I have the correct wire, yes?

That is correct. If it gets power at that point, then yes. You have the right one.

I checked for power at the wire that I attached to the yellow wire and got nothing. So, I gave up and took it to a mechanic. Turns out I had the correct wire (the yellow one), but my snap-together connector didn’t pierce the yellow wire. So I had the correct wire, but made a bad connection to it.
