Yesterday I had a mechanic replace the alternator and the battery. I drove it about ten miles and all was fine. Then this morning on my way to work the brake and battery lights came on again. I am confused as to what could be wrong now.

Good morning,

That indicates a charging system failure.

I would take it back to him as your battery will die from not being charged.

It could be a defective part or wiring.
