Hello, my brake actuator looks to be broken. It moves but the white two large plastic cogs above it are not making contact. How do I access these parts? I cannot reach the two white plastic cog pieces.

Yes, I will shortly. It's the air outlet control servo motor sub-assembly. I think this will require me to remove the entire dash to get access to.

Okay, so an HVAC actuator, not related to the brakes like the first post. I was trying to determine where there were plastic parts in the brakes. To get those parts you need to remove the HVAC unit so it can be taken apart to get to the actuators. It looks like you have access to the same information we use and that outlines the entire process. What doesn't seem to work other than the two cams?

Hi, so sorry. You're right I had another repair on my mind that needs to be done. But it has to do with the servo and AC actuator. Sorry I'm not sure if this question can be edited and reclassified in the correct section now? I've attached a picture here. I'm not sure if this part is broken or I just need to somehow get it aligned and clicked back in.

I have some of the repair manual, but it seems unusually long to get to this part. 65 pages of things that need to be removed. Is this correct?

Here's a few more pics I took today. This is the area that is loose and not making contact. I'm just not sure how to get it where it should be or what that looks like.

It looks like the rear pin has come out of the track. The usual reason is that the front cam has either broken at the hub or the pin it mounts onto the side of the case has broken so it can move. Yes, there is a lot of items that have to be removed to get the unit out. My suggestion would be to go to a you pull it type yard and pull one there. Then rebuild that one and then just remove the one you have and swap it for the rebuilt unit. Gives you practice and gets your vehicle back together faster as well.

Is there a picture somewhere online or video that shows these parts put together properly? Is it broken? Or can it be positioned back into the holes? I've gotten it placed before but some of the modes were still a little off, so it probably wasn't the correct placement. The big wheel can turn freely and there are two connection points - one in the front and one in the rear that is difficult to photograph.

You might find something on YouTube, but the service info doesn't show that area very well. What I normally do when I have a cam set-up like that is to look at the dial settings first. Then set them for say the defrost vents. Then I move the parts until the air comes out of the proper vents. Then switch to dash and see where it moves. It's possible the movable pin should be flipped the other way as well. Hard to say without it on front of me to study the motion. Maybe this would help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTfKYwEJoq8
