Replaced pads and caliper. Checked master cylinder and the piston has returned against the retainer ring. no brake fluid leak seen between the master cylinder and bake booster. Pulled ABS fuse no change. Any idea what next?

Good afternoon.

The most likely cause is the brake hose. it is collapsed internally not allowing the fluid to return from the caliper.

to verify, apply the brake then release. open the bleeder valve at the caliper. if there is pressure that comes out, the hose is bad.

Yes thank you was very helpful. Replaced hose is working now. ABS and brake light still on but have not serviced back brakes yet.
