Boot /trunk will not open?

Key remotes working on doors perfectly, but boot won’t open, no key lock on boot and can’t seem to find an access from the armrest in rear seat, when remote pressed, can hear boot trying to open but no movement at all.

It could be the trunk lid is stuck on the weather stripping. While hitting the trunk release push down and then pull up while hitting the button and see what happens. If the lid opens, you may have a weak trunk actuator which I would replace here is how in the images below. Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
