Body type of the car

Hello! I have out sized question. I'm going to buy a car which was imported to Poland in 2017 from France. I've checked a car history with VIN and the car is marked as damaged in France. Normally the car body is hatchback but every report showing that the body is sedan. Could this be a problem with the wrong mark in report or the car had problem in past and it was put together from two other cars?

Yes, I think this would be problem. Usually the only time a VIN# is messed with, and please do not think I am accusing you, because I am not, is when a vehicle is stolen. Anyway I have included a VIN# decoder in the diagrams down below. I hope this helps and let us know if we can help in any other way.
