When I'm pressing down on the rear bumper, I can hear a noise sound like a squeaking noise closer to the left rear side. How can I find the noise? I thought it was coming from the left strut, but I don't think it is. I did remove gas tank and replace a fuel pump, but I don't see where It Is rubbing anything.

Hi,

Did the noise start after removing the tank? When you reinstalled the tank, did you take note of the insulator pads on the top of the tank? There are five of them. Usually, they fall apart from time. If they are missing or worn/damaged, it can create a squeak. Because of their locations, you can't see them once the tank is installed.

Also, you could try spraying a soapy water mist onto bushings, suspension, and anything you see that could squeak to see if it changes the sound.

I attached a pic below of the insulator pads. Let me know if you recall their conditions.

Take care,

Joe
