2003 BMW Z4 How to set the time-of-day???

The owner's manual says, "See the radio manual;" and the radio manual says.... you guessed it. Can someone tell me how to set the clock? It reads --*-- since I exchanged the battery :-(( Thanx!

There are two buttons between the tach and speedo. Push and hold the button with the clock icon to enter programming, the other to scroll.
