hi great site!

I made the mistake of putting my lovely z3 through a car wash, it broke the wing mirror. All the electrics work, but the wing mirror is hanging off. it appears to twist and clip in? but now i cant get it to " clip" back in any ideas?

there is a plastic plate that locks the mirror into place, it can be turned into the locked position with a pick tool from underneath the mirror.
