1997 BMW Z3 runs hot

Have changed out all the reg stuff water pump thermistat, rad is clear, water level is full. Elect fan ok, reg belt fan ok, heater does not work but I think it is just a value. Do you think it has a blown head gasket? If so why does it run so smooth? Have seen no smoke in the exhust. Also what do you think of steel seal for a repair. Thanks al harris

Remember to bleed all the air from the system. There is a bleeder screw that is black plastic on top of the expansion tank. Get a Bentley manual from Amazon. Com
