My PDC device started to malfunction. When I select reverse, PDC produces long steady signal tone sound. The only way to get rid off the sound is by pressing the PDC button located on the front panel. The nearest BMW service center is located approximately 700 miles away. NEED your help. Is there a way to re-set it somehow. Thank you in advance.

The way to fix it is to isolate which of the sensors is faulty. Removing the faulty sensor from the circuit should stop the malfunction.

Electrical problem
2003 BMW X5 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

After my wife cleared the snow off her X5, the PDC system stopped working. When we start the car, we get a long beep then it stops. The system does not seem to be working at all. Any thoughts or ideas on whats wrong, what to check out etc??
