2003 BMW X5 when brakes are applied steering wheel shakes.

When brakes are applied (especially at high speed, more than 45 Miles) the steering wheel shakes. The dealer says it costs $700 to replace the rotors. Is this reasonable.

At the BMW dealer NOTHING is reasonable! You could buy the rotors cheaper, but who will install them?

Merlin has a good point. Is the warp in the rotors going to be the solution to the problem? For $700 I should think you might want to be sure. There is a thrust arm bushing that is fluid filled and is consumable, this is possibly the reason the rotors warped, or maybe the thrust arm bushings are causing this shake, if there is cracking and evidence of fluid loss at the bushing, replacement might be needed as well as the rotors and pads.
