I broke a peace of the power Steering Pulley. I need to replace it, but I can not take it out. It is held with 3 bots, but as I try loosening the bolts the pulley turns.
Is there a ways to jam to pulley so that it does not turn?
Or do I have to remove the complete Power Steering pump before removing the power steering pulley?

What is the appropriate way to remove the Power Steering Pulley on a BMW 2002 X5?

If the pulley is damaged anyway, try a strap wrench around the pulley.
