The front left indicator/ turn signal bulb has blown but in the handbook it says refer to BMW service surely there must be an easier way to replace the bulb than to take the car to a bmw dealer

remove the headlamp assembly to access the turn signal bulb. Go to Amazon.com for a Bentley manual for your car.
