there seems to be a fan running noise behind the main heater controls when car is off is this normal for ventilation and if so is it draining the battery I just had the blower sensor replaced this noise disappears when car is running

I am concerned about the fan noise, it may be due to a failed or failing final stage unit. A key off draw test might be the next thing to do.
