HOW CAN YOU TEST A MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR EASILY WITHOUT ANY TESTER EQUIPMENT? BECAUSE MY LITTLE CONTROL (MPG) AT THE DASHBOARD KEEPS GOING ONE SIDE TO OTHER WHILE DRIVING. BEFORE I PROCEED TO ANY OTHER PARTS RELATED, I JUST WANT TO ENSURE THAT THE AIR MASS SENSOR IS WORKING PROPERLY. OTHERWISE I PULLED OUT CODES: (P0171/P0174)

Lean fuel conditions;

Try tapping it while the engine is idling if it reacts-clean the MAF sensor with an electronic cleaner CRC and see what happens, also might want to clean out the EGR valve if it has one and check fuel pressure
