Engine problem
2001 BMW X5 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 84xxx miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Was wondering if anybody out there has ever seen a common cause to the coolant being contaminated with engine oil on the 3.0l I6. The engine oil has no sign of coolant in it. It pressure test good. Runs good. It has no external oil cooling system.

what is the history on the car? was there a recent cylinder head exchange? Oil in the coolant might be a failed head gasket, but that would just be wild guess that is not supported by the facts.
