2001 BMW X5 Car won't stay running

Engine starts ok, but I have to keep my foot on the gas pedal for the engine to keep running, otherwise it will go off. Everytime I lift my foot up of the gas pedal, engine turn back off.

Don't know what to do, what could be the cause please

Is the check engine light on? And if it is, what is the fault code or codes?

The six cylinder motors have a problem with the air intake boot(from the air mass to the throttle body) check it and see if it has cracked.
