Hi,

The idea that the fuel mixture is too lean indicates either the fuel pressure is too low or there is an engine vacuum leak. Have you checked for leaks?

If you haven't, here is a link that explains how to find vacuum leaks:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-an-engine-vacuum-gauge

Also, I need you to check the Air-induction tract between the turbocharger and intake-air
plenum. These are known to crack causing low pressure. Inspect it closely. See pic 1 below.

Let me know.

Joe

Thanks for your reply. All hoses are good, but pressure is low. May be fuel pump has an issue?

Thanks,
Ashok

Thanks for your replies, finally I took it for just diagnosis to BMW dealer, the results are attached.
I want to do it myself now as the labor is $600.00 and the part (vacuum line) is $145.00. Please show me the diagram of the location of this vacuum line and any instruction while installing so that I can complete it myself. Does this hose come in various parts or just one tube?
Again, a million thanks to you all.

Hi,

As far as diagrams, there isn't one specific to that hose. I can tell you it will start under the hood and follows the same route as fuel lines. At the opposite end, the hose should be in the left rear inner fender.

I wish I had the diagrams, but they aren't in my manuals. I know there is more than one hose.

Thanks again.
Is it complicated job or easy if I can do it myself? Maybe I have to go under the car. Please suggest.

Hi,

You should be able to do it at home. However, you will need to route it from under the vehicle. Also, I believe the inner fender liner will need to be removed from the left rear. It's not too difficult.

Let me know if there is something I can do to help and have confidence in yourself. I know you can do it.

Take care,

Joe

Which end goes in the vacuum solenoid?
I will have to remove protection covers under the car to lay this tubing.
Please clarify.
Thanks,
Ashok

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge, it will be the end having the protective loom cover. It is exposed to more heat and will likely require added protection.
