Loss of Power

1987 BMW 635csi, 6 cylinder, 161,000 miles, Auto transmission, 2wheel drive. When accelerating, it loses power and a poping noise from the air filter area. I have changed the plugs but it is still occuring.

inspect the intake for vacuum leaks.sounds like the boot from the air flow meter to throttle body might have a rip in one of the bellows.let me know if this helps
