2001 Other BMW Models Front Wheel Drive Automatic 109,00 miles

Hi,
Thank you for your time in advance. My question is our BMW325ci 2001car when we shut off the car the ac fan continues to run for awhile and most of the time shuts off after awhile. Now our battery,we think has been drained checking on that issue. We need to know why the ac fan continues to run after the car is shut off and key is taken out. It only does it sometimes. The fan is controlled be a potted semi-conductor module called a final stage. It is integrated into the fan, replacement is an unfortunate situation.
