Electrical problem
2000 Other BMW Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 2000 BMW M Roadster. The gear shift knob has been loose due to a broken plastic clip that holds the knob to the shifter. Recently I tapped on the loose shifter and the interior instrument lights and the lighted knob itself went out. I checked the fuses in the fuse box in gthe engine compartment and they were fine. Is there another hidden fuse somewhere? If I accidently broke a wire or the bulb in the shift knob, are the instruments wired in series and therefore, all the instruments blew out? Any other ideas, suggestions?

The knob will require replacement as the bulb is part of the knob.
