2002 BMW 745 **BMW 745 Trunk Issue - Latch Broken**

I'm having the exact same issue and/or thoughts. I'm hoping that the original poster will respond with success details. Can not open the trunk with either button or key. The motors are running (including hydraulics)...you can hear them and see the trunk "moving" a little. When attempting to use the key, nothing happens. Can't feel anything when turning the key where as i used to "feel" the mecahnisms(s).

it may be experiencing weak hydraulics, when the trunk is moving up and down have you try to pick it up to see if it opens? try that.
