the battery light has come on but the car continues to start, what is it and how much to fix

Hi there,

Your alternator is not charging the battery, eventually the car will not start as the battery will continue to discharge, as for the cost, this is unknown until the problem is fully investigated, get tis done as the batter will not last very long with out being re charged.
