problem just started last nite loss of power when i putit in reverse it kind jerk and make loud noise as i press gas perdal. and does the same thing when i put on drive its only goes no more than 20mph. this just happen for the 1st time. Just got the car about 3month aga. also the check engine light been on for while.

Get the OBD2 read out and comeback with the code/s, also might want to check for an exhaust restriction and also test the throttle position and vehicle speed sensor.
