I keep getting a code 1174 & 1175? It has to do with fuel trim adaptation inactive Bank-1 & 2 I do not know what is causing this or what to fix!!! Can you help? VIN DL39628 Milage 130K Have not done much work to eng. other than oil chages and replaced spark plugs about 25K miles ago. At 105K there was a part on the back of the intake man. that was replaced. not sure what it was called? It had to do with oil separation? The car was smoking at the time. At the present time the car seems to run fine! It is just that this code 1175 & 1174 keep comming back about every 75-100 Mi.?

please repost with mileage and VIN. fault codes that are read by generic OBD scanning equipment can be misleading. The BMW proprietary software will better guide the diagnostic for your problem. also please let me know the history of the repairs the car has had. I am standing by.

the replacement of the PCV plate at the rear of the manifold usually also needs replacement of the profile gasket at the throttle plate and perhaps the intake manifold gaskets. I would replace the pre-cat o2 sensors and reset the adaptations(use only the BOSCH sensors)
Keep in touch and let us know how its going.
