Brakes problem
1989 BMW 735 4 cyl Automatic

I have the switch exposed, but i can't figure how to remove the component out of its place. Is there a cliip I have to push in or something before I can remove it?

The plastic switch often is difficult to remove. The red button that sticks out of the switch needs to be extended fully after pushing the brake pedal as far as it will go, this will allow the two locking tabs to be compressed and the switch pops out. If you are frustrated with it as I have been, crushing the little platic switch with a pair of pliers is how I have gotten them out in the past, flat rate being what it is and we dont love the old switch, do we?
