My 89 635csi is blowing ice cold air from the rear vents, but the front is blowing warm or ambient temperature air. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Perhaps a stuck expansion valve in the front system. I recommend starting with checking the Freon amount and pressures, this will give us an idea of what is next.
