hi, some1 over filled my oil level by twice the amount, it has been driven at motor way speeds for about 2wks.. before over fill was noticed... now botom end is whining at running temp with white smoke pouring from the exhaust which doesnt smell of oil.. idles at twice the speed but running temp remains normal. no rattles or clanks, the engine is still running lovely except for idle speeds. i have drained the oil and used an engine flush and topped back up to correct level. checked pullies for dry bearings which are all fine, fixable or scrap???
thanks for reading and look forward to your reply. gary.

The M-62 motor in your 540 is a great motor, however you are describing a possible oil control issue of epic proportions, as if the oil rings have collapsed. If so, good bye motor, consider a replacement from a salvage yard. Autobahn in El Cajon does BMW and Porsche (619)444-2290, talk to John or Sean
