2007 BMW 530i

I just picked up my car from service. I was playing my Ipod on the "AUX" and suddenly there was no sound. The knob to turn the volume on and off does not work either. The controls on the steering wheel do not work. The navigation system works but there is no sound.
Seems too coincidental that it happened soon after I picked up my car.

Has the warranty period expired? MOST bus cars are usually not user friendly, so there is little you can do as we speak except get an appointment with the repair facility and let them sort it out. What might have happened is the optical loop has somehow become or has an open in it and when that happens, the audio stops working. This is not going to affect driveability, just your patience.
