2004 BMW 530i Could it be the Fuel Filter

My car starts however it won't stay on. I try to give it gas but shuts down almost instantly. I am thinking it might be something related to the fuel filter or fuel pump. My car has never done anything like this before. I would appreciate any suggestions and or how I could change the fuel filter/pump.

The fuel pressure and delivery needs to be checked before you commit to replacing the pump.
