I owe a 2006 BMW 530XI, i have indication message shows on the X drive that the "Right Taillight Malfunction" what is this means? do i need to change anything?

It indicates a light bulb has burnt out.

Like what the poster above mentioned, the indication message on your X drive suggests that your taillight has probably burnt out. Sometimes all it takes is a little screwing and unscrewing, or a little bit cleaning. Simply replace it just to be on the safe side, driving with a dead taillight is illegal in some areas.
