2002 BMW 530 car wont start

I have a BMW 2002 BMW 530I that is a friend of mine. I put rear pads and cleand up for her and now it won't start. It has a message that says ignition lock when you first put the key in then goes off. The car just clicks similar to when the starter is bad. The head light flash also. I not really sure if i hit something or what. So i guess my question is is the ignition lock the problem or is it something else?

Sounds like a dead battery.
