I have an 84 528e with wipers that are posessed. They go constant, even with the wiper switch off, unless I pull out the relay. Then dead stop. Any suggestions? Also, the gas gauge doesn't work & the miles per gallon gauge goes crazy, (constantly moving back & forth).

DUH! If you don't have an answer than no answer is better. Thanks for wasting my time.

Your wiper control module could be bad, but with the other problems you describe the wiring loom should be checked closely for broken or worn wires. It may be a poor grounding problem, so check that too.
