on start up of my car is sounds terrible shakes and just sounds awful but when its warmed up the car drives no problem , the management light comes on then it goes off sometimes

I would need more data to make a diagnosis. It may be something simple, and the check engine light will require scanning the car with the proprietary BMW software (or reasonable facsimile) to determine the reason for it being on.
