Driver's window will not lower. Electrical motor runs, window was frozen closed when window was attempted to be opened. How tough is it to get into scissor assembly with an airbag and all associated electrical components on door?

It is quite easy actually. Remove the screws and pop the panel, no worries. There are several sites available, here is the first one I found: http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/WindowRegulator/regulator.htm
