2000 BMW 528 Dash Indicator shows Right Rear Light out

The dash indicator indicates that the passenger rear light is out but it is not. I have replaced the bulb, switched the bulbs and have used the Sctron Scanner to clear any codes and the light remains on.

Check all the connectors and the wiring at the rear lights. Also the wiring at the trunk lid/car body junction should be inspected for frayed wires.
