1999 BMW 528i Turn Signal Problems

My right turn signal was turning on at random times by its self and i could only turn it off by turning on the left turn signal. Now it seems as though the right turn signal is stuck on, and won't extinguish unless the left one is on, and comes back on when the left one goes out.

Sounds like the turn signal switch is shorting out. I would start there

jack is right
the right turn signal circuit may be shorted to the left turn signal circuit.
