1998 BMW 528 Rear Rotors

I have replaced the front brakes and rotors, no problem. However, the rear rotors appear to be hooking on something inside. I have removed the caliper and the locking screw for the rotor. When I look behind the rotor when it is "stretching" forward it looks like there is something there. Am I safe to continue to use the brake puller and simply jerk that rotor off?

You are pulling on the hand brake shoes and might have to slack the hand brake cables at the hand brake lever to get those discs loose.
