1998 BMW 528 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 149 miles

after the car gets started there is a grinding sound that lasts for 15 to 20 seconds. although when the car is warm this sound does not occur. also the is a similar grinding sound when making a turn up or down inclines for example turning out of a raised driveway into the street. what is it that i must do to fix these problems. thanks

It is not practical for me to try to diagnose a noise from cyberspace. I strongly recommend seeking a local BMW professional as soon as possible, especially if your judgment is that it may be a safety issue. If that is the case please tow the car because you are valued and it is just a car.
