my 1998 bmw 528i floor board has water collecting in the driver side rear passenger floor board. any reason this happens

Has the window regulator been replaced in the left rear door? If the vapor barrier was not correctly reinstalled and if the door panel retaining clips are broken or missing their gaskets, leaking can occur. ♥
