I am told by the dealer that the transmission module has quit

He told us that it is $1600 to fix.

I think I can get this done much more cheaply by someone (not me) who knows what they are doing.

The car can be in Raleigh, NC or in DC. I commute between each.

Programa is an electrical module supplier I have used in the past, I also request the reason why this module is being condemned. The dealer is willing to take your $, are they going to guarantee it will work? I am not so sure they got the diagnostics correct, of course, I am not there and I did not see the steps they took.
