1997 BMW 528 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150K miles

Hi my oil level sensor unit is leaking oil do you think it is the unit or the seal/gasket leaking?

most likely the gasket but once you remove the unit you should be able to tell if the gasket is good.
