I am a US citizen and always kept up regular maintenance. We moved to Italy last year and the dealer's maintenance seemed minimal (oil change and everything else "was fine").
Today I experienced major problems with the problem indicators on the display.
First, the battery indicator light went on.
Then the IDrive (computer for Navigation, Entertainment, etc.) began blinking on and off.
Then the ABS and Brake indicator ignited.
Then I heard a "clunk" from the engine while I was driving.
Then the transmission indicator ignited.
The car would not accelerate over 25 mph and had difficulty climbing a hill.
I restarted the car several hours later and no indicators were lit. No problem driving.
What do you suggest?
