Smells problem
2001 BMW 525i 141000 miles

Hi, at times when the car is running a burning smell comes through the vents. It doesn't matter if the AC is running or not and the car does not indicate that it is overheating. Could it maybe be a loose wire or something in the engine or dash? Would donate but I must have missed the explanation on how it works.

The aroma is possibly oil on the manifold from a leaky valve cover gasket.
